Appointments

The National Capital Mikvah is small and run entirely by volunteers; therefore, it is always necessary to make an appointment.

In pandemic times, we offer three types of women’s evening appointments: dunk-only (all prep done at home, appointment lasts 15 minutes), shower (most prep is done at home and the tovelet only showers at the mikvah, appointment lasts 30 minutes), and bath appointments (all prep is done at the mikvah, appointment lasts 60 minutes).  Appointments on days other than shabbat or yom tov are never earlier than 8PM.

All appointments should be scheduled through MikvahCloud. If you don’t already have a MikvahCloud account, you will need to create an account to book. Your same MikvahCloud account can be used at mikvaot all over the US.

To schedule a non-standard time (e.g. daytime, groom), email dcmikvah@gmail.com. Please note that appointments scheduled by phone or e-mail incur an additional fee.  If you need an appointment less than 48 hours in advance, call our emergency line at (202) 780-6799. Appointments outside of the posted operating hours or booked less than 48 hours in advance cost $36.

Cancellation Policy: To cancel less than 48 hours in advance, call our emergency line at 202-780-6799. There is a $5 non-refundable fee. If cancellations are not communicated 3+ hours in advance, appointment fees will not be refunded.

For more information, call (202) 780-6799 or send an email to info@dcmikvah.org.

No one is turned away from the mikvah for inability to pay. Please e-mail dcmikvah@gmail.com to book an appointment if you need financial assistance.

Please note that our user fees are not tax deductible according to the relevant tax code. Since user fees are not sufficient to cover our operating costs, we rely on donations to remain in operation; donation fees are tax-deductible. Please give generously if you can, to keep our mikvah beautiful and open to all who need it, regardless of ability to pay.
